I'm a very small man who stands on the shoulders of giants. 
My daughter will have opportunities to know more truth with 
more confidence than I ever will, and her descendents will 
have progressively more opportunity. Such is the nature of 
human knowledge.

(You diagnose pride about as well as you spell.) My only 
pride is in my courage to open my eyes and test my beliefs. 
Only a few humans who have ever lived can take credit for any 
fundamental scientific or philosophical insights, but each of 
us has the challenge and opportunity of facing the evidence 
and choosing a defensible worldview. Let's see how you handle 
that challenge:

Here's a possibility that I wonder whether you're non-proud 
enough to ponder for even a moment. If by some chance I were 
actually right and you were in fact wrong, would you really 
instantly recognize a more valid worldview when it was presented 
to you?  Or is it just possible that your fear and confusion 
over your teetering worldview would cause you to mistake my 
open-minded confidence in mine for some kind of distasteful 
pride or arrogance?

P.S. Try not to think about my question regarding Mat 18:8, Mr. Truth.
