I answered all of his questions on a point by point basis. I also proved that only Congress has war making powers, that those powers can only be used in the defense of a direct and intentional attack American soil and ships (An Kuwaiti ship flying an American flag is not American soil or an American ship), and I proved that the American military is by defined and limited by the Constitution as a "defensive " military which means it can only be used when we're attacked and not otherwise. The U.S. military isn't here to defend any nation but our own, it's not here to practice humanitarian aid or peacekeeping missions, it's not here to enforce UN sanctions, it's not here to overthrow foreign dictators or to "liberate" oppressed people abroad, it's not here to settle disputes among other nations or to disarm tyrants who have not attacked our own country, it's not here to disarm nations we don't like having certain kinds of weapons, it's not here to be a show of force around the world to bully and coherce other nations into compliance, it's not here to do anything other than to directly respond to immediate and impending threats or attacks on American land (that of the 50 states and territories under American protection) and to do nothing else. The 9/11 commisssion determined that Iraq had no "credible link" or "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and Al Queda. Read about it here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5223932 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A47812-2004Jun16.html http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/terrorism/jan-june04/commissioon_6-16.html http://hammeroftruth.com/2004/06/16/911-commission-on-saddamal-qaida-link-no-credible-evidence If there was no credible link between Al Queda and Iraq, than Iraq posed no credible threat to America. Nothing Saddam did in the past made him a threat to America. It doesn't matter if Saddam wanted to build nukes or even if he actually did build them. Merely owning a weapon does not make you a threat. It doesn't matter if Saddam hates America after being a victim of America for more than a decade. It doesn't matter what weapons Saddam did or didn't use against his neighbors or his own people. It doesn't matter what UN rules he did or didn't violate. It doesn't matter what nations other than ours he invaded or didn't. None of that makes Saddam or Iraq a threat to America. NONE OF IT!!! Nothing short of Iraq dropping a bomb on an American city or sinking a U.S. Naval Ship would qualify as a legitimate or libertarian justification for using the U.S. military and would be blatantly unconstitutional. Destroying Holt's childish attempts to muster up a decent argument is boring for me. He presents no challenge.
